Why I'm doing this.
Nearly seven years ago, I joined what was then a small startup called Coursedog. What I thought would be a chapter in technology became a deep appreciation for higher education and the people who dedicate their lives to it.
From community colleges to research universities, I had the privilege of learning from presidents, CIOs, registrars, faculty, advisors, and staff across the country. I left every campus visit more optimistic than when I arrived.
Along the way, I came to appreciate something else: few systems have a greater impact on the daily experience of a college or university than the Student Information System. It quietly touches nearly every student, educator, and administrator, yet it has remained largely unchanged for decades.
That left me with a simple question: what if the most important system on campus could better reflect the people and institutions it exists to serve?
